instant | 2013 – current

Instant photographs, analog Polaroids, and app-based simulations (e.g., Hipstamatic) act as both a personal journal and creative exercise, embracing the medium’s singular “one-shot” immediacy.

Since childhood, I have been drawn to the alchemy of instant processing; its reliably unpredictable color, texture, and flaws generate images that feel tactile, unrepeatable, and truly unique.

Moving between traditional film and digital tools, I treat instant photography as a prompt for spontaneity, a practice of welcoming constraint, and a way of finding joy in the unexpected, surprising, intimate, and immediate.
