I’m shawn, aka mr.nckl5 – a Pacific Northwest artist working across photography, design, and visual storytelling.

My creative journey started with photography and the simple practice of noticing one thing each day to be grateful for and capturing it.

As my habit evolved into practice, my ability to be both present and appreciative increased dramatically. A burst of color, odd texture, or a trick of the light still makes me run for my camera.

As a result, I’ve spent the last 13 years dedicated to an art practice rooted in curiosity, observation, and honest expression.

For 11 of those years, I have had the privilege of making a living doing what I love – working with clients and brands locally and nationally while continuing to explore and create throughout the Pacific Northwest.

Along the way, I’ve learned the value of honoring that little voice inside. Inspiration and joy can be found everywhere, and investing in yourself always yields dividends.
